Happy children

‘A good- humoured teacher conveys a sense of happiness, is quick to smile and find the funny in situations in a way that brings the teaching moment into focus’

‘A teacher is a compass that activates the magnets of curiosity, knowledge, and wisdom in the pupils.’

‘True teachers are those who use themselves as bridges over which they involve their students to cross; then, having facilitated their crossing, joyfully collapse, encouraging them to create their own’

‘Teachers who inspire know that teaching is like cultivating a garden… those who would having nothing to do with thorns must never attempt to gather flowers’

‘More important than the curriculum is the question of the methods of teaching and the spirit in which the teaching is given’

‘Pupils exhibit deep spiritual awareness and demonstration of their appreciation of non-material aspects of life’

‘Pupils across the school demonstrate notably high levels of self-confidence and self-awareness’

‘Pupils demonstrate an outstanding appreciation of diversity and a keen awareness of the concept of different groups having rights’

‘Pupils’ attainment is well above national age-related expectations. Pupils of all abilities across the school make rapid progress’

“Pupils’ excellent social skills result from staff who give pupils constant opportunities to work together and share ideas with each other”

“The quality of the pupils’ personal development is excellent”

“Pupils’ excellent social skills result from staff who give pupils constant opportunities to work together and share ideas with each other”

“The contribution of arrangements for pastoral care is excellent. The pastoral guidance provided by the school fulfils its aim for pupils to be caring, considerate and respectful.  Across all aspects of the school’s life, staff provide exemplary pastoral support for pupils; consequently, pupils feel recognised as unique individuals, whose cultural heritages are valued and celebrated. In the EYFS, staff form strong bonds with the children and promote high standards of behaviour and harmonious relationships. Throughout the school, relationships between pupils and staff, and amongst the pupils themselves, are excellent and form the foundation of both the ethos in the school and its quality of care.”

ISI INSPECTION 2019

Our ISI Inspection Report in May 2019 found us to be excellent and outstanding in all areas of the school:

“The quality of the pupils’ academic and other achievements is excellent.”
“The quality of the pupils’ personal development is excellent.”
“Children in Early Years make excellent progress.”
“Pupils’ excellent social skills result from staff who give pupils constant opportunities to work together and share ideas with each other.”

It is easy to see why. We have small classes of 14 children, on average. We have outstanding teachers, including subject specialists.  Come and see for yourselves.
