This was an action-packed day.   The previous night we all went out to a French creperie to order crepes and a drink.  We all had to practise speaking in French and we did well.   The following day we had an early breakfast, as we were due to visit La Coupole museum.   La Coupole was a secret World War II  V2 rocket base.   We learnt all about World War II and how France suffered under occupation.   We also learnt about rocket technology and how this was used to send men to the moon.   In the afternoon, we played team games in the wooded sand dunes behind the beach.   The game ‘Capture the flag!’ was everyone’s favourite.   In the evening, we visited the beach once again to splash in the warm sea waves and build sandcastles.   What a great day!
